Our Story

Augusta Harmonie Verein

30 minutes away from metro St. Louis, nestled within the beautiful wine country of the Missouri River Valley, sits the Augusta Harmonie Verein. Built by German settlers in 1869, it served as a community center for the town of Augusta for over 50 years.  It was there that the locals would gather for a variety of events including six major festivals each year, musical concerts, weddings, and even town meetings. In 1965 the building became the property of the American Legion Post, 262 until 2019 when it was purchased by the current owner, a local nonprofit, the Augusta Heritage foundation.  The foundation whose sole purpose is to manage and operate the Harmonie, is governed by a board of directors that is comprised of a handful of dedicated residents of Augusta, who love the arts, and this historic property. We invite you to make the drive out to the charming town of Augusta Missouri and enjoy a performance of your choice.

Vision

Each year we strive to offer a diverse schedule of programming that features artists from not only the St. Louis metro area, but across the country.
